Tirta Empul Temple. Bali, Indonesia.

The Tirta Temple, Tampaksiring

As you may know, Bali is abundant with temples. All of them are incredibly beautiful but the Tirta has it all! Beautiful clear water from the holy mountain spring, picturesque views and breathtaking greenery.

The temple is used for self-cleansing and spiritual awakenings. There are a dozen showers around the temple with free-flowing holy water that can be bathed in to cleanse your sins.

Beautiful Coral reef on background Gili Meno Island. Indonesia

Gili Meno Island, Indonesia

Gili Meno island is the smallest of 3 islands located just off the east coast of Bali.

This beautiful island, despite being the smallest at only 2km by 1km in size, gives you the full ‘Robinson Crusoe’ experience. Prepare to feel like you are in pure paradise, with luxurious beaches, white sand and turquoise sea.

It’s also the Turtle capital of the world! Perfect for divers, snorkelers, sightseeing or even if you just want some time in beautiful surroundings and to cut off from the rest of the world.

On arrival, it may not look like there’s much to do, but the island has lots of beautiful restaurants to try, and if you want to stay on the island there are traditional beach huts on the main beach.

The Sekumpul Waterfall, North Bali

The Sekumpul waterfall is the most stunning waterfall in Bali and is surrounded by acres of fresh greenery. The cluster of 6 narrow cascades is situated in the heart of a luscious green, bamboo valley.

There are of course many waterfalls in Bali, but these are the most accessible and are widely known as the most stunning.

The falls are over 80metres tall and are an utterly breathtaking example of nature. Perfect for photographers, nature lovers and the adventurist.

Terrace rice fields on Bali island, Indonesia.

The Tagalala Rice Terrace Fields

Yes, you read that right…Rice fields. Now we know that this is an odd concept, but if you love nature, culture and fascinated by green stuff, then this one is not one to miss!

The 7km stretch of road north from Ubud to Pujung passes through Tegallalang. It is without a doubt one of the best views in Bali.

Bali’s steep mountains and high gorges make wet rice farming difficult, so cleverly, the Balinese have developed a bizarre but brilliant system using terraced rice fields governed by a water sharing community, or Subak as the Balinese call it.
